Systems Integration
Product Traceability
Traceability in the manufacturing process is crucial to maintaining quality control, production efficiency, and ultimately, customer satisfaction. It allows clients to track and trace each component that goes into a product from the suppliers, to the manufacturing process, to delivery. PMD has integrated many types of product traceability systems based on our customers’ requirements including:
- RFID
- 2D/1D Barcode systems
- PLC based tracking solutions
Systems Integration
Controlled Environments
PMD personnel have spent portions of their careers either directly in semi-conductor, life sciences, and metrology industries or have the experience of 100 projects where the environment is critical to the success of the project/product. We understand the impact that humidity, temperature, vacuum leaks, and contamination can have on a product. Rest assured that we will employ appropriate personnel and technologies for your project and use risk-mitigation practices from the outset of design.
- Clean Rooms
- Aseptic Applications
- Caustic Products
- Special Lighting Applications
- High Vacuum Environments
- Electrically Classified Areas
- Dry Rooms / Humidity Sensitive
Systems Integration
MES / FIS Data Integration
PMD Control System will accumulate data from the manufacturing production line itself and send it back to FIS/MES data system. Data can also pull information from the client’s FIS to change the manufacturing line making of the product.
Systems Integration
Process Equipment Integration
Chemical, electronic, metrology, dispensing, or material removal, whatever the process, PMD can help. Our Process development lab and technicians are the perfect combination to help integrate or tune a variety of processes with products.
- Dispensing
- Joining
- Material Removal
- Temperature control / Heat
Systems Integration
Process Controls
In today’s demanding production environment, automation increasingly relies on sophisticated control systems to improve cycle times, efficiency and yields. Through education, training, and experience, PMD’s Controls Engineering group stays at the forefront of technology. Our proficiency with SCADA or Distributed Control Systems as well as all styles of PLC / PC control allows us to tackle diverse and challenging applications with the confidence of experts, that will bring success to your automation project.
PMD
CAPABILITIES
High Precision
Some applications require high precision beyond what standard technology offers. PMD has experience in high-precision applications with tolerance requirements in the 0.1 µm range.
Laser
Lasers are used in many different applications in automation. From marking to ablation to welding, cutting, and more. PMD can run process experiments with our in-house laser as well as specify and integrate lasers of all manufacturers, types, and applications.
Contract Manufacturing
We can take your products and idea from prototyping through production to packaging across all materials. Full design for manufacturing engineering support is available to develop cost-effective precision machining solutions to support Kan-Ban/JIT sourcing of your precision machined parts.
Filling
Filling systems are a staple in the life sciences and healthcare industry. PMD designs high-volume filling lines to handle a wide variety of bottle shapes and sizes while controlling dispensed volume and/or weight.
